28 de septiembre de 2022 – El grito “¡Mujeres-Vida-Libertad!” está aumentando en muchas partes diferentes de la República Islámica de Irán. No es posible saber de antemano qué tan fuertes serán las protestas y cuáles serán las reformas específicas que se demandan.
Policía de la Moralidad.
Las protestas comenzaron el 13 de septiembre de 2022 con el anuncio de la muerte de Mahsa Anini, de 22 años, bajo custodia policial, detenida por la “policía de la moralidad” por no llevar la vestimenta adecuada. Ella era de etnia kurda. Las protestas comenzaron en las zonas kurdas pero pronto se extendieron a todos los grupos étnicos ya muchas partes del país. Sin embargo, al gobierno le preocupa que el apoyo a las manifestaciones de los kurdos, especialmente algunos en Irak, pueda crecer y generar tensiones multiétnicas.
Las mujeres han sido un foco central de la política social del gobierno islámico. Incluso antes de llegar al poder en 1979, el Ruhollah Jomeiní, desde su exilio en Francia, había dicho que la excesiva libertad de las mujeres era un obstáculo principal para sus políticas. Rápidamente se implementaron políticas represivas contra las mujeres con leyes de velo obligatorio.
Sin embargo, a diferencia de los talibanes en Afganistán, a las mujeres no se les prohibió la educación superior. Se estima que alrededor del 65 por ciento de los estudiantes universitarios son mujeres. Muchas desempeñan papeles importantes dentro de la sociedad, pero deben mantener un perfil bajo, vestirse de acuerdo con el código y estar bajo el control de un hombre, al menos cuando son visibles en público.

Mujeres – Vida – Libertad.
Ahora el grito “Mujeres – Vida – Libertad” proclamado por muchas mujeres y algunos hombres indica los cambios de perspectiva. Obviamente, el gobierno encabezado por el Guía Alí Jamenei y el presidente conservador Ebrahim Raisi están preocupados. Se ha llamado a la policía, la Guardia Revolucionaria y otras fuerzas paramilitares. Algunos manifestantes han muerto, otros han resultado heridos. Se desconoce el número de detenidos. A los periodistas se les ha impedido informar y los servicios de internet han sido cortados o son irregulares. Por lo tanto, hay pocas fotos de las manifestaciones.

No obstante, en tiempos pasados, han ocurrido oleadas de protestas en Irán sin provocar cambios importantes en la política.
Sin embargo, algunos observadores creen que hay un nuevo espíritu en estas protestas. “Mujeres – Vida – Libertad” puede ser la oleada del futuro y debe ser observada de cerca.
