What Is The AWC?

The Association of World Citizens (AWC) is a worldwide movement of individuals who participate fully in the emerging cosmopolitan, humanist world society. The AWC has consultative status with ECOSOC, the United Nations (UN) organ facilitating international cooperation on and problem-solving in world economic and social issues.

About Us

The Association of World Citizens stresses that the flowering of culture is an important response to major world challenges such as the need for a sense of direction. Today, cultural renewal, mutual help, and cooperation are needed for culture on a world scale to flourish. Culture is a fundamental part of the life of each individual and each community. Your participation in this cultural adventure is most welcome!

Rene Wadlow, President, Association of World Citizens.

The AWC is structured around four avenues of action:

Be a World Citizen.

We believe that the term “world citizen” best encompasses the constellation of principles, values, attitudes and behaviors needed in the emerging world society. That is why we are the Association of World Citizens.
World Citizenship begins with an acceptance of the oneness of the human family and an affirmation of the life-promoting values of joy and personal growth.

We invite you to become a World Citizen.

Welcome

Do you want to be part of the Change?

You are welcome to be part of this great Family.

As World Citizens, we know that the problems confronting humanity are daunting in their depth and complexity. Yet we know that the human spirit is endowed with the ability to transform even the most difficult circumstances through cooperation for positive change. Today, we move into the New Age of cooperation and spiritual growth.

We will be aware of your Proposals regarding our four areas of action:

1. The resolution of armed conflicts.

2. The promotion and protection of human rights.

3. Ecologically-sound development in the framework of the 2015-2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

4. The creation of a cosmopolitan, humanist world society.

As well as any questions you have about our foundation or operation of this website. Welcome and Thank you for belonging to this great Family.

Together we will build a Better World.
